Perhaps the secret is FLINT’s reliance on the local, fresh produce it gets directly from local farmers around the city. Customer favorites include the vanilla pancakes, the crab cake benedict, and the pecan smoked bacon. Although honestly, you can’t go wrong with any selection from Chef Gayland Toriello’s delicious menu.

Cheever’s Cafe

Drop by this flower-shop-turned-cafe to check out not only the tasty menu Cheever’s Cafe offers but also its unique decor and ambiance. Once you make your way through the trees, flowers, and shrubs outside the building, you’ll find a chic interior with many original Art Deco-era furnishings.

The Cheever family owned this space just around the corner from the Tower Theater for decades. Heather and Keith Paul purchased it in 2000 and have retained the Cheever family’s name on their restaurant. The menu has a variety of options for every possible food preference. Customers love the Cowgirl Benedict and the Snickerdoodle French Toast, among many other amusing and unique options offered here at Cheever’s.

Try the croque monsieur or the classic French dip sandwich and pair it with a classically made cafe au lait. Customers love the delicious cuisine and charming atmosphere, which is why La Baguette Bistro has been a local favorite for Sunday brunch and pastries of all kinds.

If you haven’t been here before, don’t worry. With a little Eiffel Tower perched on top of the cafe, you can’t miss La Baguette Bistro.

Neighborhood JA.M.

You’ve probably heard of Neighborhood JA.M. if you’ve lived in Oklahoma City for any length of time. After the original location in Midtown was a smashing success, they opened a few places throughout the city. You can customize your delicious brunch here, as you can change many of the items on offer to suit your tastes.

Try the famous jam and biscuits, or if you’re in the mood for something more filling, get a bite of the bourbon pancakes (make sure to order some apple butter on the side). The only downside for Neighborhood JA.M. is that you can’t make reservations, and because they’re so popular, you’ll often find a line on weekends.

The Midtown restaurant is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you want to grab a table here on Mother’s Day without a wait, get here on the earlier side. Another option is to stroll by in the morning, put your name on the waitlist, walk around a bit, and then come back to enjoy your meal. The food is more than worth it.

Good Gravy! Diner

Sometimes you want to return to basics with classic brunch comfort food in a casual, diner-style environment. If that’s what you’re looking for this weekend, head to Good Gravy! Diner. As the name might suggest, biscuits and gravy are the specialty, but it also offers a selection of egg dishes, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, and French toast.

If you’re planning on bringing the whole family here for Mother’s Day for a nice, casual, family brunch, Good Gravy! also offers a kids’ menu your children will love. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
