Back to My Roots Clothing

Established in 2013, Back to My Roots Clothing is a clothing company that inspires shoppers to connect with their history through fashion. Back to My Roots was founded by Oklahoma native LeKeytha Dukes, who wants to help clients return to natural. The shop sells clothing and accessories for men, women, and children and strives to provide each customer with the ability to uphold tradition and heritage. Back to My Roots hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including fashion shows in which they showcase new items and clothing lines.

Black Walnut

Black Walnut is a restaurant in Oklahoma City that strives to help guests experience every facet of the flavors in each dish. The chef behind the ideas at Black Walnut is Andrew Black, a Jamaican-born creative who forges new paths for restaurant concepts. Cafe Kacao

Established in 2011, Cafe Kacao is owned and operated by the Del Cid family. Veronica Del Cid has cherished and passed down generations-long family recipes, creating a menu of wholesome and flavorful options. Coffee at the cafe is as fresh as possible, as the Del Cid family ensures it’s shipped within 48 hours after roasting. With clean and bright flavors, the coffee options reflect Guatemalan flavor well.

The menu takes inspiration from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Brazil. Some of the best items on the menu include the Mexican cold brew, tostadas pibil, chilaquiles adobados, and tikal. The chilaquiles adobados are pan fried chips with fried eggs and adobo sauce, and the tikal is scrambled eggs with refried beans, plantains, and chorizo.

The shop is located in a rainbow-painted house that shows the character and playfulness you’ll find inside.

Some products you can find at Common Dear include home goods, paper goods, self-care products, and accessories. If you’re looking for accessories, you can find hair clips, necklaces, socks, sunglasses, and buttons at Common Dear. Home goods include candles, magnets, and mugs.
