February 5th, 2023 by

If you’re looking for a reliable SUV, Lexus offers plenty of options that are challenging to overlook. Below, you can read about the different choices in Lexus’ SUV lineup and discover how our team at Eskridge Lexus can set you up with the perfect vehicle.

Lexus UX

The Lexus UX is a great entry SUV whether you’re a first-time vehicle owner or a parent looking for a great deal on a reliable ride. For the 2023 version, this vehicle starts at $35,925, and you may notice a price increase depending on what add-ons you get. Nonetheless, it’s a luxury subcompact crossover SUV useful for city driving, commuting, and taking weekend adventures.

One of the things we love about the new UX is that it’s forgoing the traditional gas powertrain. Instead, it relies on a hybrid powertrain. Two electric motors work with a 2.0-liter inline-four engine to produce 181 horsepower. The fuel economy is impressive, as you can get up to 43 miles per gallon on the highway and 41 miles per gallon in the city.

In previous versions of the UX, you could find a touchpad that some drivers deemed outdated. In the 2023 version, you can benefit from an updated infotainment system. The standard screen has an eight-inch display, plenty spacious for issuing your desired commands. You also have the option to upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen that protrudes from the dashboard and creates a more immersive experience.

Once you and your passengers enter the UX, you can experience this vehicle’s spacious cabin. You get approximately 37 cubic inches of headroom in the first and second rows, 42 inches in the first row, and 33 inches in the second row. With the second-row seats, you can access more than 21 cubic feet of cargo space, enough room for luggage, camping gear, and other items you’d like to bring with you on your trips or commutes.

Lexus LX

The Lexus LX is a luxury SUV with three rows of seating for up to seven passengers, with a starting price of $89,160. For a vehicle of its size, the LX gets surprisingly good gas mileage. You can get up to 22 miles per gallon on the highway or 17 miles per gallon in the city, equating to an average gas mileage of 19 miles per gallon.

Lexus has designed this off-road vehicle with a more rigid platform than its earlier model years and has a reduced body weight. Instead of the model’s previous V-8 engines, you’ll experience the power of twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 engines. A 10-speed automatic transmission allows for seamless shifting without a second thought on your part.

The technology in this vehicle is quite advanced, as you get a 12.3-inch touchscreen as a standard feature. This screen is for the vehicle’s infotainment system, which you can use to access the built-in navigation system. Below this touchscreen, there’s a seven-inch display for climate controls to ensure you and your passengers are always comfortable as you go off the beaten path.

Lexus GX

If you’re looking for an off-road vehicle and want something more affordable than the LX, the Lexus GX may be right for you and your family. This vehicle starts at $57,575 and still brings some amazing off-road capabilities.

It has a 4.6-liter V-8 engine works alongside a six-speed automatic transmission and proper four-wheel drive. Once you get going, you can achieve up to 301 horsepower, which can help you as you navigate over tougher terrain. With this engine, you can get up to 19 miles per gallon if you stick to the highway, which is impressive for a vehicle with this build and engine configuration.

While the Lexus GX is a step below the LX in terms of luxury, you won’t notice when you look inside the GX. This spacious vehicle provides 29.3 inches, 34.1 inches, and 41.6 inches of legroom in the first, second, and third rows, respectively. Cargo space isn’t limited either, as you can find 11.6 cubic feet, 46.7 cubic feet, and 64.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third, second, and first rows, respectively.

Whether you get the GX or another vehicle, you’ll want to ensure you take proper care of it. You can learn about our maintenance plans at Eskridge Lexus by visiting our service page today.

Lexus NX

If you want a reliable five-seater SUV, the Lexus NX is an excellent contender. It has a starting price of $39,755 and comes with a stylish exterior that Lexus has completely redesigned. There’s a brand-new seven-inch instrument cluster display with the option to update to a 10-inch head-up display. You can coast by with the impressive 9.8-inch touchscreen regarding the infotainment system. If you want something even more expensive, you can opt for the 14-inch selection. Standard infotainment features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a voice-controlled virtual assistant.

With the 2023 Lexus NX, you can experience the powerful 2.5 four-cylinder engine that provides up to 203 horsepower. The included eight-speed automatic transmission makes driving a breeze. When considering a combination of city driving and highway driving, this vehicle achieves up to 28 miles per gallon. A slightly smaller turbocharged or hybrid option is available, but the base engine is perfect for many drivers’ needs.

Even though the NX only has two rows, unlike some of the other Lexus SUVs on our list, you can still benefit from plenty of interior space. You can get 36.1 inches of rear-row legroom and 41 inches of front-row legroom. With the rear-row seats down, you can access up to 46.9 cubic feet of cargo space. Even if you leave the seats up for a few other passengers to come along for the ride, you can still get 22.7 cubic feet of cargo space.
