2024 Lexus NX 300 Trim Comparison
Comfort and class combine with the release of the 2024 Lexus NX. It’s an elegant vehicle with a more spacious interior than many competitors and a generous array of infotainment and safety technology. This luxury SUV has six main trim options for the new model year. At Eskridge Lexus of Oklahoma City, we compare the Lexus NX trims for 2024 to help you decide the best option for your needs and budget.
2024 Lexus NX 250
The Lexus NX 250 might be the base model, but don’t underestimate this relatively affordable SUV. Its 2.5-liter in-line four-cylinder engine is more than capable in the city and on the open road. With a standard front-wheel-drive system, this 203-hp motor helps the NX 250 travel from zero to 60 mph in just 8.2 seconds. All-wheel drive is optional if you’re looking for more traction. The Lexus NX 250 has a generous 9.8-inch infotainment touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
The NX 250s safety technology leads this segment, so you can feel confident behind the wheel. The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes standard and includes many features that other vehicles don’t. Its pre-collision system has pedestrian detection and intersection support. Enhanced camera and radar capabilities work in bright sun and low light when other systems fail. You’ll also get lane departure alert with steering and lane tracing assist, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control with curve speed management, road sign assist to help you monitor speed limits and other warnings, and intelligent high beams for better visibility.
2024 Lexus NX 350 AWD
All-wheel drive is standard on the 2024 Lexus NX 350 AWD. This system improves traction and performance, and while the vehicle’s not set up for off-roading, the extra traction helps this SUV feel more stable around curves and on wet or icy roads. Lexus has upgraded the engine, choosing a 2.4-liter turbo in-line four-cylinder motor rather than the standard in-line four-cylinder option. This peppy engine generates 275 hp and can go from zero to 60 mph in just 6.6 seconds.
2024 Lexus NX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD
For even greater performance, consider the 2024 Lexus NX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD. It’s got the same 2.4-liter turbo in-line four-cylinder engine as the standard NX 350, so its acceleration is similar, but it’s got a top track speed of 127 mph, which is three more than the lower trim.
This trim level gets more aggressive styling and exclusive detailing befitting its sporty credentials. You’ll love the big 20-inch wheels, which are two inches larger than the standard and the biggest we’ve seen on any NX. They’re not just big, though; the glossy black finish also makes them beautiful. This trim level is the only one with F SPORT seats featuring enhanced bolsters for extra comfort and support. Adaptive variable suspension keeps the NX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD’s ride smooth in all conditions.
2024 Lexus NX 350H AWD
The 2024 Lexus NX 350H AWD is the first NX trim with a hybrid motor. It pairs the 2.5-liter in-line four seen on the NX 250 with two electric motors for a combined output of 240 hp. It’s a sustainable choice that doesn’t compromise performance or luxury. It’s not quite as zippy as the NX 350 AWD or NX 350 F Sport Handling AWD, but it can go from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds, so it’s no slouch either.
As you’d expect from a hybrid, the Lexus NX 350H AWD is incredibly fuel-efficient. While the other trim levels with the 2.5-liter in-line four have an estimated 24 mpg combined, the NX 350H AWD gets 39 mpg. You’ll spend a little more for this trim level, but you’ll get back your investment in reduced gas bills. You might want to spend those savings on remote parking, an enticing optional extra at this trim level.
2024 Lexus NX 450H+ AWD
The 2024 Lexus NX 450H+ AWD is another eco-friendly option, although this trim has a plug-in hybrid motor. With the electric motors taking the reins, the Lexus NX 450H+ AWD generates 304 hp and can go from zero to 60 mph in just 6 seconds. It also has an estimated driving range of 37 miles, making it perfect for most daily commutes and weekend activities, and an estimated 84 MPGe.
The already generous touch screen gets an upgrade at this trim level. A 14-inch unit helps you see maps, contacts, playlists, and other important information at a glance. You can choose the standard sunroof or treat yourself to a panoramic option to let in more sunlight.
2024 Lexus NX 450H+ F SPORT Handling AWD
If you have any doubts about the performance capabilities of plug-in hybrid vehicles, the 2024 Lexus NX 450H+ F SPORT Handling AWD should put them to rest. Like the NX 350 F Sport Handling AWD, it generates 304 hp and features adaptive variable suspension to minimize the impact of bumps on the road. With a plug-in hybrid system under the hood, it’s more fuel-efficient than your average sports car, with the same MPGe estimate seen on the Lexus NX 450H+ AWD.
The exclusive F SPORT details, including those glossy black wheels and ergonomic seats, are back at this trim level. As a bonus, the Lexus NX 450H+ F SPORT Handling AWD gets a heated steering wheel. It’s a small difference between the models, but one you’ll appreciate when you’re heading to work on chilly Oklahoma City mornings.
