2023 Lexus Updates, Redesigns, and More

November 9th, 2022 by

Every year, manufacturers update their current model vehicles or release entirely new models. These newest models often come with the best the manufacturer offers and work to improve the best aspects of previous models. Lexus is no different in this regard. The 2023 model lineup looks to have significant changes, both to popular Lexus models and entirely new ones.

Lexus Models Receiving Updates in 2023

Some of the biggest updates you’ll find in the 2023 Lexus lineup are listed below:

The 2023 Lexus RZ

One of the top updates for Lexus in 2023 is introducing its new model, the Lexus RZ. The 2023 Lexus RZ is Lexus’s first dedicated electric vehicle. This model will seat five passengers and falls somewhere between the Lexus NX and Lexus RX in size. It has a stylish exterior that sets it apart from the other Lexus models, with more angular features throughout.

You can also expect this model to get around 225 miles of range on its electric battery and an all-wheel-drive system that’s great for rougher roads. Finally, as with all other Lexus models, this newest model will have all the latest convenience and safety features you’ve come to expect.

The 2023 Lexus RX

The next major update for Lexus in 2023 is the Lexus RX. Lexus made some major changes to the RX model for this model year to make the vehicle even more exciting. For example, the RX now has a turbocharged 2.4L engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. A plug-in hybrid variant of the RX is also available for drivers who want something more fuel-efficient.

For the 2023 Lexus RX, there are several trim options available. For example, there’s the RX 350, the RX 350h, and the RX 500h F sport, to name a few. These trims will have various powertrain options and interior features, making finding a model that fits your needs easier. The fully digital dashboard is one of the most notable differences between this year’s RX and previous models. This gives the interior a more modern aesthetic and makes controlling your media and navigation easier.

The 2023 Lexus ES

Lexus first released the ES model back in 2018. For the 2023 model year, Lexus decided to give this compact sedan a significant upgrade. Most of these changes are on the inside, with recent technology to make driving more enjoyable and safer. For example, a new infotainment system with cloud-based navigation and access to real-time traffic information exists. There are also features like voice commands and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrations.

The 2023 Lexus ES also adds a new trim level, the F Sport Design. This trim level will have a 2.5L engine producing 215 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque. Expect superior handling and performance when driving this trim, thanks to its multi-link rear suspension system and continuously variable transmission.

The 2023 Lexus LC

The Lexus LC is a small vehicle you can get as a coupe or convertible. There are a few significant changes to the 2023 model. The most noteworthy of these changes is an upgrade to the suspension system. Lexus optimized the suspension system to enhance the ground contact feel and improve steering effectiveness. The result is a more fun and responsive vehicle to drive on tight roads.

Other updates to the 2023 Lexus LC include the following:

  • A 10-year subscription to Lexus’s connected services.
  • A lighter soft-top on convertible models.
  • Climate Concierge.
  • A new color option, Cloudburst Gray.
  • 21-inch forged alloy wheels.

The 2023 Lexus UX

The Lexus UX is the smallest crossover SUV available from Lexus. For the 2023 year, this model will come exclusively as a hybrid vehicle. Under the hood, you’ll find an 181-horsepower engine and an electric motor. You’ll also have the option of getting the standard front-wheel-drive or adding a second motor to the rear axle for all-wheel-drive.

Some other upgrades for the 2023 Lexus UX include the replacement of the touchpad controller for the standard 8-inch touchscreen. You can also get a 12.3-inch touch screen and the ability to connect your smartphone and charge it wirelessly. Finally, consider getting the F Sport handling package on the 2023 Lexus UX if you want adaptive dampers for better handling.

The 2023 Lexus IS

The 2023 Lexus IS is adding two new packages: the Special Appearance and Handling Package. The Special Appearance Package provides customers an exclusive gray exterior and a black hood and roof. It also includes 19-inch Enkei wheels that have a dark finish. If you select that package, you can opt for an orange body called Molten Pearl on the IS 500 F Sport trim level.

As for the Handling Package, it adds an adaptive suspension for a smoother ride. It also has a drive mode selector with custom modes and a limited-slip rear differential on the rear-wheel-drive models. With these two packages, you can take an excellent compact sedan from Lexus and make it even better.
