2023 Lexus GX Interior Features
When it comes to luxury car brands, few are as well known as Lexus. If you want to know how Lexus gained its reputation for style, comfort, and performance, look no further than the 2023 GX. This crossover looks and feels high class and sports some of the best off-road performance in its category.
If you’re in the market for a luxury vehicle, you probably want to know how the GX stacks up in the comfort, design, and tech departments. If so, you’re in luck. Our Eskridge Lexus team put together this guide to show what makes the GX special on the inside.
2023 GX: Overview and Trims

The Lexus GX is a midsize SUV that pairs rugged off-road performance with beautiful design and extreme comfort. As you probably know, Lexus is the luxury wing of the Toyota company, although the brands operate independently. Because of this, the GX shares many features with Toyota’s best-selling 4Runner while adding a range of opulent perks.
The 2023 Lexus GX line includes three feature-packed trims. One of the best things about this lineup is that even the base model is loaded with lavish appointments and modern tech features. Here’s a quick overview of the trims Lexus is offering for 2023.
GX 460
The GX 460 is the base trim in the GX line, but don’t let that worry you. While many auto manufacturers offer bare-bones base models, Lexus has taken a different path. The GX 460 is amply equipped with design, tech, and comfort features that outpace many of its competitors.
On the outside, the 460 sports standard 18-inch split-spoke alloy wheels, premium triple-beam LED headlamps, a power moonroof, privacy glass, roof rails, and heated folding side mirrors. The interior of the GX 460 is just as sumptuous, with a telescoping steering column, power-adjustable front seats, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, fold-flat third-row seats, Lexus’ standard suite of safety features, and a wide array of sleek tech features.
GX 460 Premium
Moving up one step, we meet the GX 460 Premium. Since the GX 460 is already a winner, Lexus took out the stops on its higher trims. The Premium includes all the base model’s features, along with tons of extra benefits. These include heated and ventilated front and second-row seats, three-zone automatic climate control, and gray Sapele wood interior highlights with aluminum trim. The outside of the GX 460 Premium is just as sleek, with LED fog lamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and windshield wiper deicer, along with all of the features included on the base model.
GX 460 Luxury
The GX 460 Luxury is the pinnacle of the GX line and truly lives up to its name. Along with all the features of the base and Premium models, the Luxury trim includes semi-aniline leather interior trim, a wood and leather-trimmer heated steering wheel, power reclining third-row seats, a cargo-area tonneau cover, and illuminated door-sill scuff plates. The Luxury trim also gets an exterior upgrade with 19-inch split-six-spoke alloy wheels with a dark metallic finish and headlight washers. If you’re looking for the absolute best in SUV comfort, the GX 460 Luxury is for you.
Seating and Space
The 2023 GX is a midsized SUV with plenty of room for the whole family. There’s seating for six or seven people, with two in the front, two in the second row, and two or three in the second row. Captain chairs are available for the second row, and the third-row seats fold flat for maximum cargo space.
The cabin is designed for maximum noise-canceling, and there’s plenty of room for whatever you need to haul, with 11.6 cubic feet behind the third row and 46.7 cubic feet with the third row folded down. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, and tri-zone climate control comes with the Premium and Luxury models.
Interior Colors and Appointments
The spacious interior of the GX 460 is beautifully appointed and upholstered with lavish materials. A wide variety of interior color schemes are available to suit every driver’s taste. There are two options for the base model and four for the Premium and Luxury models. These include the following:
- Ecru NuLuxe and Linear Espresso wood trim.

Infotainment and Tech Features
Customers have high standards for entertainment, and Lexus doesn’t disappoint. The infotainment system is accessed through a 10.3-inch touch screen on the dashboard, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity standard. If you want to go hands-free, Alexa connectivity is available, and the Lexus App provides a range of other tech features, including remote engine start, service scheduling, vehicle health reports, and more.
Safety Features and Driver Assistance
Lexus includes the same expansive set of safety and driver-assistance features on all its GX models. This suite includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, high-speed dynamic radar cruise control, intelligent high beams, and lane departure alert.
